ap1 harness vs ap2 ecu harness

ap1 harness vs ap2 ecu harness
im bouta hardwire a vafcII. In the user guide it only shows the pin out for ap1 is it the same for my05? i know theres a harness you can buy but after looking at the diagram its a pretty simple job.
