Default AP1 Oil burning

Hello. Built bottom end on this car, resleeved. Bought the car like that. Was only about 400 miles on the rebuild not even. So most of the break in was done then. I took over and put royal purple with the stock weight and no mix in it, and began driving regularly. Fixing numerous issues here and there but never with the motor. My friends noticed some small puffs of the magic blue ganja smoke when I took off after starting up and i could see some smoke puffs here and there. Oil consumption isn’t too bad from what I’ve gathered. However I chalked all this up to. (I have an ap1 so the bitch burns oil is what is is) but was also reminded like, hey this motor is fully built on the bottom end, and the head was all resurfaced and redone at the same time replacing some valves and what not. So it really doesn’t make sense that it’d be burning oil. Is this something I need to be worried about? I’m just steady worried because I want to boost this car and don’t want to confidently put her on the dyno just to watch it blow up and get laughed at by PFI speed. Just adjusted the valves last night and I’m gonna do TCT cause it’s making noise. Have yet to check if she’s puffing after the adjustment

Maybe give it some break in time, but also you need to figure out your consumption rate

It didn't cost him anything. He bought the car that way. The PO had it done.
