Default AP1 too AP¨2 engine swap

Ok so apparently the best idea for my engine from my mecanics point of view would be too slap a new engine in my AP1

Atm it is on a speedcraft turbo kit + AEM EMS ecu

I found a local deal on an AP2 complete engine and tranny but NO ecu ....what modifications need too be done for it too fit etc etc

thanks...hopefully plug and play

You dont need the F22 ecu if your going to use AEM standalone
AFAIK its pretty much plug & play, Id keep the f20 around until the swap was complete in case you need some specific parts off of it.

The fuel rail is slightly different, the trans output flange is different.

This only applies to a 04-05 AP2. The DBW 06 and later cars have quite a few more changes.

The speedo will be off.

And what do you mean by the tranny output flang? Meaning i need too use the AP1 tranny or the Ap2 one...The speedo being off doesnt realy bother me

You need the output flange off your AP1 trans, and you can use thre AP1 fuel rail.

AP2's all use larger propshaft bolts.

From what I remember, you can trim a small piece off the AP1 fuel line, and it will fit the AP2 rail.

Of course the AP1 rail would do the trick...

And yes you will need the output flange off the back of your AP1 trans.

You can mod the AP1 fuel line to work with a AP2 fuel rail.
