Default AP1 Valveterrain...

First off im not sure if this should be in this section or s2k talk.. so ill put my flame suit on first

my s2k is having some good work done to it and looking to throw some cams on it. So far I have sitting in my room s2k Pro+2 cams and valveterrain for my s2k but my mechanic is quite reluctant to use skunk products saying they will fail, especially on the valves and springs. I would like to throw some sort of a cam into my s2k to complete my project (which includes bumping compression to 11.7:1 with the jdm pistons). What do you guys suggest I do with the valve terrain and cams. What are some solid pieces which work and work amazing which will not cause me to have nightmare problems in the future (do note that this car is a daily driver and does see lapping days quite often).

On another note, with an Ap1 and trowing in OE size pistons, is it wise to hone the cylinderwalls ever so slightly to help the break in period, or should I just get slightly oversized pistons and bump up compression even further?

In terms of cams not too many have been tried and proven. I would keep the stock cams in there. I'm running Supertech valves, Ti retainers, and double valvesprings with great results.

Stock valvetrain is gonna be your best bang for the buck and should provide the best longevity.
