ap1 vs. ap2 brake line difference?

ap1 vs. ap2 brake line difference?
i bought a SS brakeline kit from goodridge , the box says 00- up..... i took the stock soft line of with a female connector and the SS line has a male connecting the hard line with is a male. ???? did brake lines change over years????
