haven't had a chance to do the bg44k yet. I'm going to do it on my trip back this weekend so I can gauge if there is any improvement and so that I can change the oil as well.

anyways, tonight i went out. I have been running the stock cal from hondata...the toda tune. Has not stalled on me. After fixing the alternator, I thought I try my old map. Everything was good. I went on the freeway and when I put it in neutral going 75, the car died. I was able to restart it. At first I thought it was a fluke so I did it again and yup it died on me again. However the rest of the drive, it didn't shut off on me.

I'm going to load the stock cal from hondata tomorrow morning until I can figure this out.

I'm going to install a brand new pcv valve tomorrow. Probably won't make any difference.

Does this symptom sound like an injector issue?

tuner also suggest that if my valve clearance is totally off, that it can run rich as well?

if its valve clearance, wouldn't you notice the sound? or would you?

any help is greatly appreciate PLEASE!!! :-)

just an update. Did the BK44 and no improvement. pvc valve replaced = no improvement. replaced MAP sensor = no improvement

when I say no improvement, although the car has not died on me since I cleaned the throttle body, the MPG is still bad. Before issue it was getting 28-29 mpg consistently. Now its down in the low 20-22 area. No change in driving behavior. The MPG is done on the freeway driving. Not much v-tec.

so now i'm leaning its something to do with injector. what is a common injector issue. I saw some youtube video on how to do a injector balance and checking each injector. Can a faulty injector cause the car to lose MPG?

any advice.

I recommend you inspect your cat converter.

currently the car doesn't drop in RPM at idle or has stalled on me for over a month. *knock on wood* As far as inspecting the cat, I have a test pipe.

I'm really leaning torward a faulty injector as I have looked at everything else?

i would check your IAC as others have said. Also check the throttle body position sensor, if the IAC doesn't fix it. I had this same problem on my s2000.

because of your dropped mpg, i would also suggest a compression test.

would low compression cause a dropped in MPG?

i did a compression test and it all came out normal and consistent.

i saw a suggestion for the air filter, did you change that?? A really dirty air filter would essentially choke the engine
