Default AP2 AC cooling system

ok I'm trying to make it short . My low pipe side ( big pipe by the battery ) is cold but the high pipe side ( smaller one) is not cold when you're touching it . Is this normal ? It still blow cold air inside the car but it is COLDER only when you are moving and accelerate the GAS . Does anyone have same issue ? Or know what cause this ? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated !

100% normal. If it isn't cold enough though, it could be slightly low.

Thanks Rmetchant3 and I also noticed this weird noise like this guy mentioned in his post below ( 1st post) ,

http://www.s2000.com/forums/all-othe...-c-noises.html

I feel like something is loose or need to be oiled but not sure what is it ......kinda hard to explain that weird noise every time you accelerate from stop light or sometimes when compressor kicks in ....

It's 'normal', Honda's keihin ac compressors are garbage they leak slowly, don't cool very efficiently at idle, and are known to unexpectedly take a dump. Every Honda I've ever owned has had a leaking compressor even the Si I got with 0 miles.

could be wrong but I think pag oil is pag oil. but the only time you add oil is when you replace the compressor, if it doesn't come full. to much oil is also no good will cause hit system pressure and not as cold

That noise is likely your expansion valve working. You usually don't hear it, but some are louder than others. They tend to get noiser when the R-134a levels get low in the system. Take your car in and have it fully recovered, vacuumed, and recharged. You should NOT need any oil added.

Where do you get you info from?? I have charged ONE system in 13 years worth of S2000s.

OP, your car is completely normal. Driving the car increases compressor speed and condenser cooling, making it colder.

Different parts of the world I suppose, it's pretty hot and every A/C get's a good workout where I live. Where there's wear there's tear, and up there where the weather has seasons I suppose the A/C get's used a little less. I've had a couple Hondas even a brand new 06 SI and they all had lousy cooling at idle, worked great at speed, and in about 3 years of use I had to top mine off.
