Does anybody know how the AP2 headlights differ regarding their internals between MY04/05 and MY06-09? From the outside they look pretty identical.
Part numbers for MY04/05 have -A11 (US), -G11 (EU) in last section and for MY06-09 it's -A21 (US), -G21 (EU).

Any idea what's the difference between "11" and "21"?

 

06+ have daytime running lights. 04-05 do not.

 

This might be a difference between US and EU, as the 06+ EU version does not have DRL.

 

My 2006 DRLs are simply the high beams at reduced (50% ?) voltage. Not sure this has anything to to with the headlights themselves just the voltage they're fed.

DRL's have nothing to do with headlight housings themselves.

I am not sure why there is a part number difference. Presumably, there's some extra bracket somewhere to hold something on for some market.

I am using the 04-05 and 06+ versions interchangeably on my own S2000's. So whatever the difference is....doesn't seem to matter. They fit and work identically.

 

If I understand correctly, The projector cut off is much sharper on the 04/05 headlights than the 06+ headlights.
