Smile Ap2 slave cylinder or clutch problem

Ok, easy way to say it is my clutch is slipping very easily and it just started acting weird. I have a toda full clutch in it with around 15K miles. When i depress the clutch pedal, it has a catch in it at the beginning. when accelerating i push the gas pedal with it engaged the motor winds up and comes back down to normal RPM. I dont know what to think it is, Pedal has plenty of pressure and fluid level is good, just all of a sudden started doing this yesterday.....Please help me

Any transmission geniuses on here?

please call me, it makes it easier to explain if i didnt do a good job explaining it

do you think my slave cylinder cant handle the pressure plate or my fluid is just needing replaced and re-bled out? I really hate to take the tranny off again because i had to drop half of 3/4 of the cradle just to get this thing back in the last time i did this....boo hoo if so, this sux ass

Why don't you go to a site like "How stuff works" and read up on how a clutch works?

Disc is likely junk.

I have a Toda clutch sitting in my garage, I'm suprised you got that many miles out of it.

I KNOW HOW A CLUTCH WORKS, BUT DIDNT FIGURE THAT I COULD BURN THE DISC UP IN ONLY THIS MANY MILES, THANKS FOR YOUR 2 CENTS REDY2KS2K.

anyways thanks billman, i was hoping it wasnt the disc because its annoying to change it out, but on the brighter side i can drop my whole setup and get the engine bay painted in the process.

I was hoping it was possible that maybe the slave cylinder was on its way out because of extreme pressure, which obviously is way easier to change, oh well, fun fun, time for turbo

slave cylinder only opens, pressure plate holds it shut so unless your PP is shot (unlikely...), or the slave cylinder is somehow "jammed" open (unlikely, unless you got a lot of crap in your fluid..) its gotta be the disk.

higher rated hp disks usually dont last as long..

If you know how a clutch works, how can you think it possible that the slave cylinder causes it to slip?
