AP2 suspension on stock AP1

your 02 shocks were probably worn out.

Springs/shock valving/sways are part of the equation, the other part is the different bump steer geometry due to the diff rear control arms/spindle. Bumpsteer is a bit reduced in the AP2 (from what I understand), so the car should be less apt to loosen up if you do something silly like let off the throttle after turn-in (weight will shift up front, rear will rise, rear will toe out less in an AP2).
Not sure if you'll notice this on the street.

Hi mate

did you ever figure out why yours was sitting higher on ap2 shocks. I have just put ap2 shocks on mine and there is a defiant raise in the suspension aswell ?

+1, I replaced my AP1 shocks/struts with new AP1 shocks/struts and the old springs were 1-2 inches shorter than my new ones.
