AP2 Taillight Wiring Conversion?
Hi All,
In purchasing a new set of ap2 taillights all it comes with is just the housing and so far I've decided that I will need to purchase a pair of foam gaskets and was wondering now whether I should also go ahead and buy 4 ap2 sockets and bulbs. I'd like to keep and reuse the ap1 taillight wiring harness to avoid buying an ap2 wiring harness and splicing wires since I'm bad with wires
, so would it be as easy as just grinding down the plugs to fit the ap2 sockets as shown in the diy and that's it or are there any other better and easier options?
TIA

I have kept the AP1 harness on jobs I've done. didnt even cut it.
Extract the pins one at a time from the AP1 plug.
Put a tiny piece of shrink wrap over each terminal end.
Plug the wires individually into the AP2 tail lights. you will be using no plastic connector.
