Default aut and fipk

so i got my aut and my fipk on the way but i have a question about the install. there is a plastic cover that is right before the radiator. would it do anything by taking it out? or should i just leave it in?

when you install the AUT, take the stock plastic piece out, the AUT plate achieves the same function, but with the added benefit of guiding some of that cold air into your intake as well, leaving the stock plastic piece on will only impede what you bought the AUT to do

actually, just like "terahertz" mentioned. i'll keep it on. it's just for looks doesn't really do much. AUT blocks hot air coming from top of radiator, where stock air inlet.

I just installed the AUT plate on mine last week and it would defeat the purpose of adding the AUT plate by leaving the stock cooling plate in. The whole idea is to maintain the direction of air to the radiator while adding the scoop for the oem air box so you get cooler air coming in. You need to remove it or you just wasted money.

if u notice, the bumper grill/frame is below the cooling panel.. so unless you have something to blow the air upward, the air will not reach up to panel area.
