be careful. i got an axle locally for pretty cheap and there was a pinhole (too small to see) in one of the boots, ended up spewing grease everywhere.

The guy is an old friend and a huge Honda guru, hopefully it checks out. I'll inspect it when I get it thanks.

Yup, much easier with the car on the ground. Don't forget to make sure the axle nut is properly torqued when you put it back together. GL w/ the repairs.

All buttoned up and secured. New axle works like a charm, and it even took away all vibration I got while in mid range of the rpm band and on the gas. Smooth as silk now, pretty pleased. Thanks for all the advice and the help guys.

Glad you got it fixed.

Had to laugh when I read your first post...."Just a quick question..." you say....and then spew off about 500 words!

LOL yeah I do that on the Internet. It would have been a series of quick questions had it been in person lol. Oh well, job done! Drove it about 40 miles around yesterday and to work this morning no problems smooth as I can ever remember it driving. I think my old axle may have been on its last leg anyway now, or something was wrong with it at least. It was shimmering and vibrating under throttle like I said before I lowered it even. So idk, but I'm happy!
