There are not any significant gains on ANY of the after market exhausts. If 1-3hp for $650-2800 is a big deal to you, then go for it.
If you want gains look elsewhere. If you want to modify your exhaust sound, then mess with the exhaust.
Im sure you dont want to get into propagating waves/harmonics (because I dont) created by valves and how you can get those to help out. . . get this, a properly designed intake manifold can in effect 'supercharge' a NA engine at a given RPM and load.
anyway, if my memory serves right, it goes something like the longer the intake pipe/tube is, the better it is for the low end tq ...
make sense?

This is my PERSONAL OPINION which many may argue with but:

I read with with interest all the comments on exhausts and will add my 2 bits. I think the standard exhaust is a good if you want a nice standard car, however it is a rather convoluted mass of pipes and restricts the car. I had a straight thru exhaust made with the aid of a dyno and my power went from 113Kw at the rear wheels to 127 Kw at the rear wheels. All for $800AU($450US). I'd say that is damn good "bang for the bucks". I didn't use any special materials just standard s/steel and a half inch over sized diameter(and this was for asthetics) The noise level is higher but hey it sounds great.
Hey Chris,
You must remember that the tuner who dynoed your car is less than reputable and he compared it against the dyno figures for another stock not your s2k's baseline.
Dyno figures will vary significantly from car to car, dyno to dyno and in varying atmospheric conditions.
