Default Ball Joints

I was wondering if there exists an aftermarket replacement for worn out ball joints. I know in the past I was told the entire control arem or knuckle had to be replaced if a ball joint went bad. Is this still the case?

The lower is replaceable, the upper is replaceable through replacing the upper control arm for about $150-$160.

The ball joints themselves are replaceable, or do I need to purchase a knuckle assembly?

Which joint are you refurring to? I will assume you are refurring to the lower ball joint.

That sucks. I blew a wheel bearing and i noticed that the ball joint had a torn boot and was a little notchy like there was grit in it. I might see if I can have it cleaned, regreased, and re-booted when I take the assembly to have the bearing pressed in.
