belt question

i need to know how long the belt around the pulleys would be if i detach it from the AC compresor (not AC condensor) thats right next to the clutch because its hitting and damaging it. lemme know, thanks

My guess is yes, that's what he wants...unless he's planning to remove a section of his current belt and reattach
