Default Berk Header just installed : MY06 :

Hey Guys,

I just got a call from a reputable shop here in Houston that just installed my Berk Header on MY06 and he stated to me that he had to take off one of the engine mounts temporary to install the header. Has anyone else had to deal w/ this issue? When he took off the stock header, it came out smoothly, but installing was a different story.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

update:
just drove the car home and my hks/berk test pipe sounds alot smoother and quieter.

I'm assuming it was a temporary removal
I haven't heard that before. Maybe it's an easier way, because I know it takes some finagling to get em installed.

It's the only way to install a Comptech or a Toda header from under the car. I'd say it's normal.

i dont think that is normal. yes the header is big, but patience and some very minimal elbow grease and it will squeeze through the opening below.

The megan one goes in pretty easy, with no need to take an engine mount off. Like stated above it's takes patience and some of finess. It prob took me 1hr and half with jacks stand in the garage.

The Meagan is completely a different design which may have a different method to install. I'm really looking for the Berk installs. thanks though!
