Default Berk HFC and cel

Installed a Berk hfc on Sunday and threw no codes at all till yesterday. I scaned it and the code was P0420. I thought the Berk hfc isnt suppose to throw a cel? any ideas?

You have the same year model of my car and I had the same issue with the same cat. From what I understand, AP2s are more sensitive to changes in the cat and are more likely to throw a CEL when you swap out the OEM unit. Testpipes and HFCs which may be perfectly fine with Ap1s are going to throw CELs on late model AP2s.

You can either ignore it, keep resetting the CEL, or get a flash pro and turn it off for good. I chose the latter.

I installed the Berk on my '06 over 3 years ago and never had a CEL until 6mos ago. I did the two anti-fouler trick and haven't been bothered since.
