Which is best brake pad material for street?
Which brake pad material is recommended for street use? 
Does anyone know what is in the OEM pads?
About eight years ago, all the great pads were made from carbon.
Before that they were sem-metallic. Now the new pads are ceramic?
What are best pads for street?
Like and dislikes?

some of the good brand for street pad: hawk EBC axxis
i use axxis ulitmate on all my cars, it's kevlar ceramic compound i think
90 buck shipped from most site, improvement over the oem ceramic pad, but if you are anal about dust and noise, don't bother.

Actually, the oem AP2 pads are preferred. They have better initial bite than the AP1 pads but about the same stopping power and fade resistance.
OEM is best for the street. Anything else will run into compromise: more dust, squealing, increased rotor wear, etc.

OEM pads are the best compromise for the street.
Ceramic pads will stop well for the first three to four stops in a VERY aggressive driving situation. However, then they will start to fade out. The advantage is that they will dust much less.
Anything more agressive than the OEM pads will dust more, squeal, or not perform well when cold.
If you track your car, swap out your track pads with street pads. It's worth the effort. For the street, I would reccomend OEM or Cermaic pads as long as you understand the compromise.
