I saw a radically replaced airbox at the WLA gathering that got me to thinking about how to improve what we have. That particular mod was unique (no airbox, exposed filter, chromed piping) but it also looked like it absorbed too much heat from the engine compartment and gave up the stock air box tuning.

First assume we seal the airbox entry to guarantee outside air into the box. Then isn't our big challenge how to prevent that air from heating on its way into the intake? How about double-wall tubing from the air box (and possibly around the air box) that also blows outside air past the inner wall? That sounds like a decent insulator that could be improved on yet again with a liquid intercooler flowing instead of air.

UL?

Stay tuned man. I am getting a new intake this week that may be good and does not cost what the Mugen does. I have to do dyno as well as have other driver oppinons before I open my mouth, but if you want details PM me.

Maybe someone can come up with an intake kit buy using the cold air adapter on this link. The owner of this site is in my Durango club. He may make an intake if someone show him the S2000. I believe he lives in Cali. I haven't visit the site in a long time since I got my S2000.

Check your PM. First off almost everyone has agreed that the INJEN intake sucks in hot air. If Evo wants to say they work "very well" he better bring out the numbers to support his claim. Second nothing is free and we must be fair to the sponsors of the board.
