Billman TCT
While I understand the policy and 2 week grace period is likely to minimize bots - there's got to be a better way to do this...
Making people wait 2 weeks or pay a fee to fix their car is not what this community used to be about

Hi @Billman250 ,
My engine is starting to sound really loud. On stone-cold startup and on a hot start.
Via text you said you're thinking it might be a stretched timing chain however before I drive over (6 hours) and have you rip apart the motor, is there a way for me/you to check your Gen-X TCT? Reason I ask is, I've gone through 5+ TCTs in the past 15years, that includes Ballade that you personally replaced with your Gen-X. I always used Motul 5W-40. I tried 10W-40 and I have the same issue.
Each new TCT silences the motor for 2-3years and then fails like clockwork. When they fail they go from slight rattle to really loud in a matter of a week or two.
Many Thanks,
Dmitriy

The chain and sprickets may be worn beyond limits, I will PM you instructions on how to photograph the chain guide operating depth, to assess the state of the chain.
My notes say that your car is SC, in some cases the supercharger bracketry robs oil pressure from the TCT, amplifying things.
If the engine does not have the guide depth to accommodate it, installing a ballade tct will result in instant engine damage. Once that happens, my tensioner cannot compensate for the damage. If anyone is having problems with ballade tensioner engine damage, call him directly.

I just want to say that I installed a Billman TCT the other day. He gave excellent service. Clear communication. Good written instructions for installation. I followed his instructions and the TCT installed easily, and it is working very well and it is very quiet. I sent the old OEM TCT to Billman, and he sent me the core fee refund immediately by paypal. It was a very easy and smooth process. Highly recommended.
