Default Billman TCT

Hi all,

I have a Billman TCT and I have noticed that when I start the engine from cold the oil pressure light goes out within the normal amount of time but then after approx 2 secs the light flicks on again for approx 0.5 secs.

Now I imagine this is something to do with the uprated parts that are used in the TCT and it is completely normal, but I just want to make sure it's all right that the light flicks on and off after start up?

I have complete faith in Billman and his products but I just wanted to check it is normal and there's nothing to worry about.

Thanks in advance

I dont think the tct is the problem, could be oil filter related or the cam wheel bolt

Have you checked the oil level? I have a tct from him and my light has never come on with the car running.

It has only started happening since i've done an oil change so could be to do with the oil filter I suppose, but what goes wrong with an oil filter?

You should never see the oil light after the car starts.

My TCT runs higher pressure that OEM, so I assure you that is not the problem.

Did you possibly snag the wire while chaning the TCT? It's right there next to it.

As you say it's not normal i'm sure its something i've done but I have no idea why it's happening. It's literally a flicker on cold start up, as if i was running low on oil (but i'm not).

I did unplug the sensor so maybe I have got the contacts dirty and have an intermittent connection problem? Also the temp has recently plummitted in the UK so I don't know if that will be contributing to the problem.

Do you have any other ideas of what it could be?
