Default Bilstein PSS9 Install Help Needed

I'm in the middle of installing a set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers and am having trouble assembling the new shock. I removed the stock spring hats and drilled out the hole so the shaft and shaft spacer would fit through, but I still don't have enough shaft sticking out of the top of the hat to add the rubber piece and adjuster unit. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

It looks like the stock hat has a metal and rubber "cap" that needs to come off to make everything fit. I have tried to pry it off but it seems to be attached pretty solidly.

Any help would be appreciated.

As you can see there's no thread sticking up through the upper rubber bushing.

Rob

I don''t see your pictures.

Also, when I installed mine, I don't remember drilling anything. I also don't remember it being that hard either. If I could see the pictures, maybe I could help?

Can you take them apart and show me the order of the parts you have them installed? I.E Shock, Bushing, Top Hat, Bushing etc....

I think you have one of the stock bushing still installed on the bottom of the tophat.

No, that does not need to come off.
