Is a bit of bump steer normal?
On particularly bad roads, which have poorly finished works on them (ie trenches and humps where the asphalt has been dug up and the replaced), especially when they go 'along with' the road, my front wheels like to try to follow the groove. It's very pronounced in some cases, and it's a struggle to pull them out of the groove. Also when hitting bumps at an angle (just small ones, but probably big ones by US standards), the wheel definitely tries to jerk out of my grip. I'm not talking at speed here, in fact, as you would expect, at speed it is less pronounced. I just wondered if it is normal, or if not, if anyone has any suggestions what might be a bit worn... I might post a pic of how mad the roads are, just so you get the idea. These aren't 2 or 3mm surface deviations, sometimes they're an inch or so, sometimes even more...
Completely stock as far as wheels, tires and suspension geometry is concerned.
I'm not too worried, and it's not unmanageable, just wondering if it was normal. At speed it's as smooth as a baby's backside.
I guess it's a side effect of having steering that gives quite good feedback. Thanks for your thoughts, any other opinions are welcome...

I'd assume you are newer to the car based on your time here in the forum...is this correct?
If so, what car did you come from? When i moved to a wider wheel / tire setup, that's when i started noticing it in my civic, but from experiences w/ cars w/ wider tires in general, it didn't surprise me....
That being said, I see it in my fully stock 05 S when there are raised lines in the road or ridges also. Just feels pretty normal to me I guess. I'd rather have the feeling of the road than not!

All AP1s (MY00-03) have significant bump steer (or more correctly since it is at the rear of the car, it is roll steer, but few would understand the difference).
Take a look at the Megan, J's or TC Design rear bump steer kits.
The AP2 (MY04+) rear suspension was redesigned to nearly eliminate the rear bump steer.

i believe he is talking about front bumpsteer.
what you're describing is normal, just hold on to your steering wheel.
with regards to "feedback" i wouldn't classify this as feedback as s2k is known to have mushy feedback. however, it is sensitive.
