Black AP1 won't start...
Hi guys,
I don't know If I'm in the right section to expose us my problem...if not, please tell me which section is the right one!
The facts;
I have a 00' S2K, RHD UK, battery ok, alarm remote battery ok...
I'll try to be the more precise I can, I hope you help me to find a way.
Usually, I unlock the car with the remote handset, the red LED near the hand brake turns off, turn on the ignition (green key appears) and I have approx 30 seconds to start the engine; if I not start the engine during these 30seconds, the LED blinks one time per second and I have to unlock again to turn the engine ON, that's the usual use I made since one year.
An other thing, "usually" again, when the system is armed, if I open the trunk without disarming, the siren start to "sing"
, normal of course.
Two weeks ago the car won't start...the engine cranks but not run and no green key.
It was in the morning (I worked on the soft top all the morning to repair it) and when I wanted to drive a bit, The car didn't start, I tried my second handset/key, I controled the battery voltage, controled the fuses...but nothing happened, until the car decide herself to start in the evening....a kind self thinking car...haha!
Everything was doing well until yesterday: I took my S2k to go to work, runs fine the morning, and at the end of the day, when I decided to go back home, I felt a bit angry when the car didn't start...
I suspect the alarm system (maybe I'm a bit angry against ALL alarm systems, I don't like them and they don't like me as you can see
) because these past days some strange things happened, the siren didn't sing when I opened the trunk (system armed), when I locked the car 4 flashes in succession ...and no green key again in every way I tried.
First suspect -> alarm system
Second suspect -> transponder, dialogue between key and transponder
Thrid suspect -> main relay? Does the S have a painfull past with main relay? Like many hondas? Is it a link between Main relay and alarm system?
Fourth suspect -> the factory mounted immobiliser?
I've put below two pictures of the remote handset and of the siren under the hood, if it make you think about something... thank you guys for your help!
