Bleeding brakes HELP!
I have a few questions about bleeding brakes properly. ( I have looked it up and cant find the right answer )
Does the car need to be started when bleeding your brakes?
and
where do you bleed from? The bolt at the end of the line that goes through the hole? or the small bolt thats under the rubber cover/nipple?
also
does the person holding the brake pedal down press and hold the pedel all the way before you open the valve or after? I know he has to hold it down until you tighten.
Please help. thanks in advance!

The bleeder is the one under the rubber cap. Attach a piece of clear tubing to it with the other end going into a container, have the person step on the pedal, then crack it open. You will see fluid and air bubbles passing thru the tubing. Tighten the bleeder and have the person release the pedal. Repeat until no more air bubbles are present. Don't forget to keep topping off the master cyl or you'll suck air into the system. You do not need to have the eng running.
