Is a blower recommended for a daily driver?

nah, he'll blow the welds off his intake manifold before he blows himself up.

I have been driving mine w/ vortech for about four (??) months now. It is my daily driver (20-100 miles/day). No problems what-so-ever (knock on wood ). I baby my car a whole lot though. To/from work I use zero boost. After work/weekends I hardly ever get in boost range unless I need to show off or need the boost to pass someone, ext. So just be nice to it and you should be fine

But if your going for to solve torque issues or if you intend to keep your induction mild I recommend a SC.

I have the same feeling as you after getting a taste of a FI car I was sold. Time to start saving up. I was able to vtec the first three gears and I can't forget the difference when I hopped back into my car. It's almost like the feeling of a roller coaster diving down two stories. I think it can be a reliable car as long as you baby it and not drive like a mad man. Good Luck with your decision.

I just had the comptech blower installed. Tuner has valid points. I want to keep it relatively mild, so my mods will be limited to the aftercooler when released and then maybe some tuning.

I plan not to get into the boost much during hot weather this summer, and like spapdx, I seldom boost during day to day driving. Its nice to have it when I need it.
