Bogging just Map or worse?

I had the typical hesistation around 7500 rpms last week, found out about the MAP whack and "fixed" the problem. Tonight, after leaving a movie, when I started my car, it seemed to really bog, worse than it ever has. THe CEL light blinked a couple times, then stayed on. I drove home lightly. It drove fine in low RPMS. Then tried the MAP whack. The CEL light still came on, when I started it back up. Does this sound familiar? SHould I reset the ECU after doing the Map whack, or should I take it in to AutoZone to get my code checked? I did try the search function to find my answer, but couldn't find my exact scenario, so I decided to start a new thread. Thank you in advance for your help

Here's an update.. I got the codes and it read that I had the Cylinder 2, 4 and Random/Multiple misfires. The guy at AutoZOne suggested I start out changing the spark plugs (I'm at 50k miles, haven't changed them before). I did the change, and the CEL light went out. Car seemed fine. I went to lunch (about 45 minutes) and when I restarted the car, it bogged some, and the CEL flashed a couple times. It didn't keep flashing, or stay on, and the car seemed to run fine. I went home, shut the car off for a couple minutes and started again. No bog or CEL light. Could it be a fuel delivery issue, that isn't bad, once I've been running for a few minutes? What should I check next? Fuel injector cleaner??
Thanks, guys

The service manual for this car indicates that the spark plugs are to be changed at 105,000 MILES or 7 years. So, 50,000 miles is not excessive. Changing our plugs at 20,000 miles is just wasteful. However, having said this, you should routinely check the plugs for tightness and condition. It's ludicrous to simply change them out of some preconceived notion.

Thats cool I suppose. Lots of cars recommend very long service intervals between plug changes but to me
5 bucks for plugs
or
XXX amount for map sensors, resistor packs ect
seems to me, the 5 bucks is cheap insurance.

Doug, if only that's all we pay for 4 spark plugs. The S2000 runs Denso or NGK platinum plugs OEM. These things will run close to $60.00 for the whole set.
Just curious. Do you actually own an S2000? And have you checked to see how it's put together and how much stuff costs for it?

good lord, I stand corrected. No need to get jumpy, I didn't realize they were so expensive.
Could always just check them
lol
No, Im shopping for an s2k. Really not trying to post anything but for the most part I thought this thread the easiest answer was to just check (replacing if needed) the plugs.
