Thumbs up Brake/Clutch fluid recommendations...

Hey guys, I really need to change the brake and clutch fluid in my car. The cars my DD but seems canyons quite often and some track days.

Anyway what type of fluids would you guys recommend to use in my brake and clutch? I read diferences between dot 3 and 4 once has something to do with heat, but cannot remember. And I hear about people getting stainless steel brake lines, is this something I should get?

Once last question...where should I get all this??

Thanks and sorry for the possibility of stupid questions

are you doing a bleed or a flush?

one of those tall bottle is more than enough, but if you have no/little experience with it, you might want to get a extra bottle just to be sure.

if you did it before you should know when to stop, which could be a challege if you are doing it the first time and have the same coloured brake fluid.

ATE offers their same fluid in blue and gold, so you can tell which fluid are old and new

You can order it online. Make sure to get "type 200"

Castrol dot 4 will suffice.

im doing a flush. I dont think its ever been done before on my car.

Anyway. I went to honda to get fluid for the Clutch before I got your message. I picked up one 354mL bottle of Honda "Heavy Duty Brake Fluid DOT 3". Is this the correct stuff? Guy didnt really know what he was talking about and I told him it was pretty much the same stuff but wasnt sure if there was a different clutch fluid. The guy tried to sell me 9 bottles of honda MTF .

Anyway is this the stuff i need? heavy duty brake fluid for my clutch? lol anyway where can I get the ATE fluid for brakes? Thanks

I use the Castrol dot 4 for the clutch, but the Honda stuff will do for the clutch

The brakes and clutch use the same hydrolic fluid.
