Is your brake reservoir lid on correctly?

Brake lights?
You mean the rear brake lights, as if you were braking?
Or the ABS light?
The parking brake light? (both dashboard)

Is the CEL also on?

If it's the ABS light, double check the ABS sensors.
Maybe a cable got damaged or the sensor is not "seeing" the ring and is not giving pulses.

only the one on the dash, no CEL. No ABS on nor flashing. I've notice my rear taillights were out(parking lights) not the actual "brake lights" in the rear. Could that turn on the interior dash brake light???

I see no light on the dash when I brake (with my foot )

Take a picture of this light and post it.
(if possible)

I guess its EU-spec to have an icon instead of the word "Brake" for the e-brake indicator.
According to my (German, its an import car ) manual this indicator has 2 functions:
#1 - E-brake (parking brake) is on.
#2 - Brake fluid level is low.

Check & double check the level and the e-brake switch.
If you completely disconnect the e-brake switch, does the light go off?
The fluid level sensor may be dirty (?) or broken or not connected or all of the above.

Let us know what you find.
