Broke my axles....
Unusual component to break. As 9K points out the ends of the halfshafts tend to go first.
Have you had any work on the rear end. Massive overtightening of the hub nuts ( the one on the end of the halfshaft) could have put the whole assembly under excessive tension.

FYI you can buy a slighter stronger outer cv joint housing from
www.driveshaftshop.com for $150 each. I asked them around 2 months ago

Right now the weather is very hot. I am running Nitto 555 275/30/19 in the rear right now. They are supper sticky right now. I launched the car at about 7000 slipping the clutch, not just dumping it. But that is not what broke the axles. I hit a dip in the road causing the rear of the car to hop up and loose traction, when it came back down it grabbed so hard that everything just snapped. Before I hit the dip I already had traction.
About the over tighting of the axle nut........That could have been a factor. I just put a new rear in couple days prior to this all happening.
As for the Drive shaft shop.......I placed an order with them for there axle and hub kit but they are going to be about 8 weeks or longer. They are redesigning the outer C/v joint to make them even stronger. Once they come up with the new designthen they would be able to do my driveshafts. Right now they are not offering anything for the S2000. I canceled the order and will just have to settle for OEM right now. I have a feeling that it would take longer then 8 weeks + i want my car back on the road for the summer. It was just on jack stands for three weeks waiting for the diff.

Ken needs to get his car running. We play in the same neighborhood so to speak, and I've seen his s2k on the road a couple of times. The car looks too good to be jack stands all summer.
A guy I used to work with even knew about his s2k haha.

I though the weaker link would be the axle rather than the outer cv joint. It would make more sense that the weaker link give way first and not the outer cv housing.
