Default burning question!

burning question:
hi s2000 UTH members, i've got a burning question that may or may not already have been answered in this forum. (or everyone but me knows the answer to it)
anyway, i'm looking at some mods for my s2000 and i was just curious if anyone could explain to me what makes the s2000 CR steering wheel turn tighter at 14:1 instead of the regular s2000's 15:1 ratio.

was also wondering what the benifit is of getting this steering stiffener for the CR
http://hardtopguy.com/store/product.php?pr...&cat=193&page=2

all help is appreciated, i know its a stupid question so i'm putting on my flame suit!

TIA,
Shotiable

If not mistaken, it has nothing to do with the steering wheel. its all about the gearing in the power steering rack. somebody else will be able to shed more light on this.

The CR appears to use the AP1 steering rack.

Honestly...you're not going to notice a dramatic difference for the cost of changing.

negcamber. You are right, for a street car and/or to drive around town. There is no big difference. But for weekend autocross or track use, it should help. I am looking seriously about converting my car to cr spec, because I can not find any aftermarket companies to make the passenger seat rail with the weight sensor. Backyard special and mugen are not interested because they said the s2000 will be gone this year and they do not want to dump heavy research into it. I do not want to go to track with friends and have his/her head touching the roof with the helmet. Any way the steering rack/gear ratio is where the labor is $$$ to install onto the ap2. The front/rear sway bars, coilovers and steering stiffner is not too bad to install, I can do it with some friends.
