I sent my car for the TSB that involves buzzing in transmission during deceleration. When I picked the car up from the dealer, I noticed that my clutch was making a buzzing noise. The noise goes away when I step on the clutch peddle. Could this mean my throw out bearing is going bad?

Thanks

the buzzing probably occurs during deceleration due to a Honda recall. you can get the clutch replaced for free througha Honda service center if your S is still under warranty, but the problem will probably come back with a stock honda clutch. you might think about getting an after market clutch that does not use honda parts...my 2 centz.

I'm fine with the buzz if its just how the stock clutch is supposed to sound. My concern is if the niose is due to some malfunction.....

Thanks for your feedback

So are you saying that they supposedly performed the TSB, but it is still making the same buzzing noise? Does the clutch feel any different at all? Do you have any proof that they even did the TSB work?

A bad throw out bearing would likely make noise while the clutch pedal is pressed, and be quiet when the clutch is fully engaged.

The buzz is from your pedal, not the clutch. It vibrates at 4-5K RPM and makes a buzzing noise. If you put your foot on the pedal (not pressing it) you'll feel it and the noise will stop. No fix that I know of.

hum.......
I am pretty confident that the TSB was performed as the buzz during deceleration and acceleration no longer occurs. The clucth buzzing is especially noticible when I am at a complete stop i.e. a red light.
Exept for the noise, the clutch does not feel any different .

Hmmm.... my buddies gsx eclipse does that too. It will buzz when he is just sitting there at a light, or when he leaves it running and we get out. Then the second he pushes the clutch in it goes away. He said it is his throw out bearing. Maybe honda jacked yours up when they had it out (aren't they supposed to replace that too??).
