A/C Blowing Hot Air
Hi Everyone! I'm New here, I have a problem with my air conditioning on my 2000 S2000 that I can't seem to figure out. About a month ago my AC compressor went out so I got a new one from a car that had like 20k miles on it. Installed it went to an AC shop they hooked it up to a machine that does vacuume suction to get all the old stuff out of the lines and got it recharged. But it's blowing hot air... They repeated the process 4 more times to flush the system. And still the problem precists. Took the car to the dealer they daignosed it for 3 hours and said that its the expansion valve not working and that it would be $430 te replace. I went got the new valve for $30 and changed it in like 15 minutes also took an air compressor and cleaned out all the lines and the condenssor, to make sure there wasn't any clogs or crap in the system put everything back, went got it recharged and what do you know still blows hot air... the clutch ingages and the fan kicks in, the pressure checks out. But the AC is still blowing hot air. The Dealer and two AC shops dont know whats wrong. Please Help!
What Fasting said. You had it evacuated and charged at a shop so _hopefully_ we can assume the oil and refrigerant charge is correct. So, When you turn on the A/C,
Does the compressor click on?
Does the fan turn on?
What are the pressures?

Does any one have the AC line routing diagram? I want to make sure the AC hoses were connected properly when the AC compressor was changed or a picture of what hose goes where.

The heater control is working that's the first thing we checked.
The AC lines not get cold they are worm when the ac is running, and the condenser is warm.

You said pressure is "there." That doesn't mean anything. WHAT are the pressures, low and high side, with the system running and without? If it's not something obvious like the heater valve then that is step 1 to troubleshooting.
