Default CAI installation questions

I ordered an AEM clone intake off ebay and there were no instructions included. Ive read some of the write-ups in the faqs but I didnt see any specifics on what to do with the hoses. Question 1, is the harness with all the vacuum hoses connected to it. I guess maybe I need the instructions on what it is Im supposed to do with it/ them. And question 2 is the larger hole on the other side, what am I supposed to use to keep the hose intact with it? So I guess maybe I need the instructions on the whole hose removal, routing installation part if someone can provide them.

Upon looking at other pictures of a AEM V2 Ive noticed that there are some differences of my intake versus other ones. The metal nipple that is on the V2 intake is not on mine, I have a rubber grommet that looks as if its supposed to use the existing factory hose, but theres no way itll reach. And the larger hole thats on the other side is just a hole, how is that hose supposed to connect there? Is this one of those knockoffs that is useless nad needs to be sent back?

Note: this intake resembles the V1 intake but I assume the top pipe sections between the v1 and v2 intake are similar with the connections.

Not sure whats getting so complicated..

Post a pic of what you actually got, and it might help. If its just that the hose you got is not long enough, thats not a surprise that a generic intake didnt give you what you need for a proper install.. just simply buy a longer hose. As far as the 2nd larger hole not being able to fit anything, that rubber grommet might be what you need to stuff in that hole to make the hose fit.. I had to do that with an INJEN cai before..

The two vacuum holes on the top of the top intake tube. The one that contacts to the hose coming from the manifold doesnt have a metal tube that connects the hose, it has a rubber grommet that appears that it would use the factory tube instead of the one they provided. The second hole that connects the larger hose has nothing to connect it to the pipe.
Are there missing pieces for those that I can get? If so the next question is how do I route the rest of the hoses that are all connected on the harness?

ps:I can provide pics of what I got tomorrow

Here is a link to the pictures. I only took pictures of the top portion of the pipe since this is where all the confusion is. I have all the clamps and what not with it too (not included in the pics). Aside from the clamps this is all the parts I have for the top half of the intake.

Note that the rubber piece in the first pic, the blue hose does not fit over it... almost if theres a metal fitting thats supposed to be there.

2nd pic, the larger hose has nothing to attach to, its only an opening right there whats supposed to be there?

Pics toward bottom, what in the hell am I supposed to do with all those hoses?????

Ok heres what you have to do. The green part you will have to remove the whole thing. First the lower part do you see a hose connecting to the thottle body put a towel under there because coolant will leak from there follow the hose which connects to the to the lower engine by the belt. If you follow the hose you will know what I am talking about. Then the tube on the left side connects to the upper engine that should be the same as pics. And the right side to. So far you are almost finish you will have two more hose left which are the smaller ones. Which you will see looking at the pic you took you see the black cover which have two small hose connecting to it. Remove those and so far the whole metal thing should be off now. Now for the small hose do you see the one with a plastic one on the hose should be the lower hose. This is going to be hard to describe but I will try to make it simple. After you take off the small hose from the metal part, take the one that has a plastic around the hose it should be close the the belt and connect it back to the black cover you will have to stretch it instead of using the metal part to connect. Ok for the finally part there should be only one hose left which connects to the vaccum connect the last hose to the vaccum the should be the lower or upper part by the black cover which ever is open. Then make sure you have everything tighten. Its like running the hose but with out using the metal piece to connect. And you are done. Hope this helps I know its confusing.
And and one more thing the easily way to remove the hose is to twist and pull and use a small flat head screw driver on the one that spins you know what i am talking about just stick the flat head under the hose until you reach the end of the end. Then pry it open. Have fun.
