You don't need a laser alignment rack.

Most racers don't have one- and it's not any more accurate if the technician is a bumbling idiot- and I've seen plenty of those at the places with a laser alignment rack.

A true race shop will probably use toe/camber/caster gauges and a laser pointer, and if not that, string. And probably not a full rack system with a book on alignment settings for Accords...

Make sure they load and unload the car, and move it back and forth after initial setting, then rechecking it.

That should be good enough to tell if it's aligned properly.

I agree the more qualifield track rats can do it with a string and a bubble, but you get no print out to confirm the specs. The guy with the Accord manual may struggle all day but it's a flat fee service, I like to see the digital print out when it's done.

Well, it sounds like you don't have a place you can trust...

Remember too, the printout is only as good as the accuracy to which the operator is willing to make sure it is... FYI, I don't go to places with alignment racks. Your requirements are probably slightly higher than the "average Joe."

Hey guys,

I took my stook to Just Tires this past weekend and they did it. No camber kits needed, our stook comes with camber adjusters. They adjusted mine's to factory specs but it was at max. they used a laser Alignment macjine. My wheels are now in specs and looks great nows. The cost was $64.95 plus tax. Hope this help someone else. By the way my cars has about a 2inch drop all around and it barely got on their ramp. At first they weren'r even going to do it. But, they gave it a shot, and it made clearance. So please bre advised when lowering your car with coil-overs, I don't think they can help you becuase you would have too much negative camber to be adjustable and too lower to ever try.

My car is LOW. There is no gap up front, and the rears tuck very slightly. The factory camber adjustment is maxed out and I think the simple question here is:

Does an aftermarket camber kit exist for the S2000?

I'm in for one if anybody can find it!

Thanks.

I had the same problem when I went to get mine aligned. The mechanic told me that I had over 3 degrees of camber in the rear and over 1/2" of toe. The toe was killing me just as bad as the camber. I had her slammed about 2", probably the same as yours.

I raised it back up, because it seemed to be the only way to get my car aligned right. I still have a noticeable drop, but it isn't slammed like it was. Also, the car is more driveable, especially with PA roads. I feel it's worth sacrificing some of the drop to get a proper alignment. Don't know about a camber kit being made for our car, but if you find anything out I'd like to know.

Good luck.
