Oh... by the way, you almost have me convinced to stop trying to make more power with these cams and just install the Toda header that's been sitting in my living room for 2 weeks now. I wish there was a way I could fast forward to 60-degree weather and low humidity, just so I could go back and see if that really is my problem.

About all you can do is redo the testing with a before/after at the same ambient conditions. Even if you know the conditions and correction and what the ECU is doing, you still can't correllate that. Unless someone like UL can tell us how much timing is pulled out, when, and what power that equates to. I don't think you can really compare that, though.

I don't think anything is "wrong," especially if the car feels strong. My car is feeling sluggish now (with the manifold insulator) in this humidity and heat.

Interesting thought- did you do any ECU resets during the baseline (or "old" Toda) dynos?

ECT = Engine Coolant Temp (sensor)

Usually the ECT is used to richen the fuel mixture for cold starts and cold weather, and the IAT sensor is used to pull timing for hot air/weather. I think it is also used to richen the mixture in cold ambient conditions but I am not familiar enough with Honda OEM tuning to be certain. UL should be able to chime in here.

I've been off-line since Friday, so I missed the recent posts... I'm willing to go dyno again.

BTW, have you checked to make sure your Flux capacitor is fluxing?

The flux capacitor was obviously the first thing I checked... but it looked OK.

Thanks for offering to dyno again. I think I'm just going to try to dyno once at Speedworks and then once at Jotech and see how the two dynos compare.

When I look at the recent dynos from Speedworks (yours, mine, and TypeSH's) and compare them with our previous runs, it really does look like the dyno is just miscalibrated. All three of us are consistently about 5-6lb/ft lower than our previous dynos. That kind of consistency just looks suspicious to me. Granted, we all had modifications since our "baseline" runs, but for all three of us to lose 5-6 lb/ft due to different mods just seems unlikely. The weird thing is that TypeSH's baseline and latest (lower) runs were only 7 days apart. Whatever happened, must've happened in those 7 days.

Anyway... since it doesn't seem like there's much else I can do about the dyno, I went ahead and installed my Toda header.

I'm wondering if it's weird that I was slightly aroused when I first started the car and watched the stainless steel become a "bronze" color in just a matter of minutes.

If the flux capaciter was working, obviously you need to double check your MR. Fusion.

And yes it is stange that you are slightly aroused by the header changing color. Good luck with the cams.

you should go to 5 different dyno places and then use the average of five to see what your gain is.....

I would not dyno at Jotech and expect similar results to tests in November. You WILL be down on power due to timing, I guarantee it. Not unless we have a cold front come through when you test.

According to Toda. their cams makes good power, so you can definately feel the different. I think remapping the ECU doesn't help a lot for cam swap. Plus, it will automatically reset itself.
or, let me put it this way:
does your car feel any different?
keep us updated how it turned out, I am thinking about getting the cams myself. But with all these power loss rumors around...
