Default Can anybody help me identify this problem?

Okay, so I started my car today after not driving it for a while. I left it idling for about 15-20 mins, before turning off the car I notice there was some knocking/rocking sound, so I went to check it out. It sounded like the noise was coming from the motor. It sounded like if there were a rock in there bouncing against the motor, but you can only hear it every 30 sec or a minutes or even 5 minutes.

Have any of you guys run into these problems before? />

Thanks for your time: D

So I took off the valve cover like everyone suggested....
didn't find anything unusual. Put the cover back on and the sound is gone.
Could it be the spark plug were loose?

Can you tell if it is coming from the alternator rather than inside the engine itself ? or maybe the accesory belt tensioner ?. Something major and internal like a bad rod bearing will knock constantly.

Sounds like something is bouncing around under the valve cover, possibly a valve adjustment nut? It's hard to tell really just from the video. Pull the valve cover and have a look around.

It is bad if the valve adjuster nut is loose and bounce around? I will try to pull to cover sometime this week. I've never done it before is there anything i should be caution about when taking off the head?
