Default Can I remove the airguide?

I take this off to go along with my k&n intake and the AUT PLATE?

I did research and i read its okay to take it off since it does no good anyways but what else is this good for? It seems kinda pointless to me now that its almost off.

who says its uselesss? It acts as an air guide to direct air through the radiator, rather than around it. Helps to keep the engine running cooler.

It maintains air pressure, so removing it effects all that. You can cut a hole on the passenger side if you're interested in running an intake tube, but I wouldn't remove it.

yeah a lot of people with the FIPK and the AUT plate say that they just took it off completely.

Mine is off as well, I think the AUT plate will now do the same job as the airguide. Think of it this way, you have a small sink with a drain, you turn on the tap and it fills up with water, eventually the water overflows. If you decided to go with a bigger sink, it will take a little longer to fill with water and it will also overflow. When it is overflowing the same amount of water will be coming out of both sinks. That compartment will fill up with air, much faster than a sink fills up with water. Lol, does this all make sense?
