Default Car acting weird when i first start, bogs down..

in the last week..

i start car.... she jumps to 2k as usual to warm up. but 2 seconds after started...(car in N) she'll bog down real deep to like 100rpm and sound like its gon die...

then after 1-2 seconds of that itl jump back to 2k and be fine.

any idea of what this is?

im going to honda tomorrow.. but from my previous times going to honda.. people on the board know 10x more than any honda tech. so i trust your decision first and formost

thank you

I would check your spark. if not then something could be wrong with fuel line and worse case senario the ecu. Thats my best guess off the top of my head, anyone correct me if im wrong.

This happens to me too on a cold start. Spark plugs perhaps?

Then again if i remember correctely, isn't it normal for the S to do this? I had a image in my head of something more serious. I think as long as you don't have major bogging and your car isn't at the brink of stalling you should be fine.

its almost stalls for that 2 seconds.. ive been tapping gas to 2k when it starts to do it,.. just to prevent anything bad.

when just idling, she sounds a lil off so maybe it is spark plugs..

like isaid i just wanted to try and get a heads up prior to going into honda because from my experience w/ honda techs i dont trust em as far as i can throw em...so ill be waiting there.

drving... shes fine, just a lil extra noise (ticking) but not bad to where i think she needs valve adjustment..

its just everymorning for last week when i first start (and its 95* by the time i wake up so its not like the car is super cold.)

in the FAQ, it says to just let it do it's thing and not hit the gas. the car will adjust itself while starting. this takes a little while but it's supposed to work.
i had my airbox lid off for a while but i just put it back on and my car started to do something similar on start up. i just kind of pray whenever i turn it on that it doesn't die. hasn't died yet, and it recovers faster now.

I wouldn't go to Honda. They'll probably drop some line and charge some kind of diagnostic fee or something. I don't think it's anything to worry about...
