When i try launching the car from 6k it bogs all the way down to 3.5k and the tires dont get loose after that the car picks up fine and hits vtec fine. ok how i launch my car is i hold the gas steady until it hits 6k i get off the clutch fast then split second later push the gas all the way down and it still bogs badly??? when i mean i split second 1/4 of a second when i was already hold the gas steady at 6k

 

Damn, that's got to be kind of hard on the drivetrain, huh?

 

Is your lid off? If so, put it back on and you won't have this problem.

Try putting your foot all the way down and dumping the clutch when the gauge reads 6k. No holding the throttle, just dumping as the light passes 6.

 

Dude, you don't launch a low torque car by dropping the clutch. It's going to bog down if you do this and it's not the quickest way.

Get your rpms up to 6k and you're going to feather the clutch. Basically, Drop the clutch 1/3 of the way and let it out smoothly after this. Your tires shouldn't spin much and you'll get moving quickly. You'll have to practice this, but it's the best way. Dropping the clutch is bad for your clutch, transmission, and drive shaft, while feathering it is only hard on the clutch.

I sometimes had problems at 6k. Usually I would just hit the gas and when I see the tach read 6.5 or 7 I would pop off the clutch as fast as I could. As long as the tires spin your good. If they don't then it puts a ton of stress on the drivetrain. I don't know what surface you are launching on, That was how I launched my car autocrossing on v710s. My diff is fine.

 

^^^^ Exactly, if you're going to tear up something on your car, it might as well be something that is easier and cheaper to replace.

 

I launch at 7-7.5k with no bog issues. To minimize drivetrain shock you need to be sure you bust loose the tires.

As you've found less than 7k will just either bog or cause very early clutch failure.

 

Feathering the clutch without inducing wheel spin on the s2k is a quick way to destroy the diff.

Side stepping the clutch with enough rpm to induce wheel spin is the only "safe" way to launch. It also has to be enough to prevent wheel hop or the LSD suffers.

My autox launch on r-compounds (usually Hoosiers) was usually at 6-7k depending on surface.
