Default Car died at startup

So ever since Ive had my s2000, when I start it up the rpms dip down and they go back up. It dosnt do it that bad but enough to notice it. Well today I started it up and when it dipped down, it went so far down that it died. I went to start it back up and it took a second to turn over but it did start. I still drove it to work, with my eyes on the rpms and I noticed at idle it stays a little under 1k. Was this just a freak thing or is it something I should get checked out?

Is it cold where you live? Cause I have mine in storage but when i start it up every week, it will run rough for a little bit then sometimes die. I guess its a fairly common problem, just has to do with the ECU adapting to the cold weather. Its not a big deal, after it stalls and you restart it the car should behave exactly like it should.

nothin to worry about it. my car did it when it first started getting cold as well. its just the amps in the battery (not much for the cold starts since ours is so small).

its probably your MAP sensor because the SAME EXACT thing happened to me except it was when i stopped at a red light. i took it to honda to get it replaced for free (thanks to extended warranty) and when i got my car back, i noticed that the MAP sensor is zip-tied down.

i got the car without the MAP being zip-tied down. I heard now from a guy who works at Honda that the new S2000's come with the MAP sensors zip-tied down so that way it doesnt come loose. ever since i got mine zip-tied, ive had no issues
