Thumbs down car feels like its dying!

damn. im so upset.

so i bent my valves.. practically got a new head.. replaced th valves, retainers, exhaust guides, etc.. since i was throwing a CEL misfire code..

fixed it.. no more CEL.. but i did notice that the car felt kinda weird.. im still doing break in (600 miles) on it, but accerlerating from 0-4K RPM sometimes, it feels notchy.. meaning like itll lag then suddely the power is back.. this is probably apply 50%-60% throttle.. if i throttle 70-90% its not as noticable..

so i did the map whack, ecu reset.. nothing.. so today i got the spark plug recall.. i was running on some cheap ass plugs before i did the valve job..

hoping it would it go away.. kinda of did.. not as noticable.. but i know its there..

so i did another map whack, and reset ecu.. but the problem still exists..

but the most noticable thing, is that at a still, when i rev the car in netrual to any RPM, when it drop the car feels like its gonna die.. twice.. the first dying feeling is strong, last about a 1/2 sec, and the one that follows it is about 1/4 sec...

now i know the ECU is learning after the reset.. but damn, every time i rev @ still it bogs and the car shakes, and it feels like its gonna die.. but it doesnt...

what could be the problem? before i got the car out, the mechanic say it was misfiring in cylinder 1 after the valve job, but he said it was due to the valve or something like that being too tight...

any ideas? thanks..

Do the MAP sensor a favor, stop beating it up.

I'd return the car to the shop that did the work, and have them look at it.

Something was overlooked upon re-assembly of the engine. I'd put a call in Monday morning to the shop that performed the work.

This is sad...a complete upper end re-build and the "parts changer" can't even set the valve clearance

At least he admitted it.
