So i just installed my diff, rear brakes where sticking/rusted over. After bleeding, adjusting ebrake, and rebuilding one of the calipers.

so when the wheels got freed up i move them forward and back and theres "free play", then the inner cv joints and the bit of play in the diff.

is this normal on a s2000?

 

This happens on all the rear wheel drive cars I have owned.

 

That's called backlash. All normal.
