Crappy road surface? I have that happen at lights on some local highways where the big trucks have worn ruts in the pavement.

Assuming alignment is good and road surface is smooth, warped rotor?

Warped rotor is my guess.

You may want to read this:

http://www.stoptech.com/whitepapers/...otors_myth.htm

I used to get this brake chatter condition with other cars until I better understood the cause. Besides seasoning my brake pads, I now make sure that if I get my rotors hot I don't keep my foot pressed hard on the brake pad allowing this condition to happen.

do you think extreme braking can warp the rotors???

i was thinking of taking off the rear brake pads and see if the problem still persists. Will the calipers damage the rotors when the pads arent in there???

DON'T DO THIS! You will either push the pistons out of their cylinders or you will be using the piston itself to clamp onto the rotor. Either one will do severe damage. I'm not sure where you got such a nutty idea.

Extreme braking won't generally warp a high performance rotor, however, uneven cooling might. Also, a common way of warping rotors is when a tire shop uses an impact wrench to put on your rims.

You mean it doesn't say that in the manual in the secret compartment?
