As much as might want to believe otherwise, this is not a race car. Hence, the problems with the diff when it launched at high rpms. Let me correct myself, its not a drag car. Track racing/ auto-x are different, If you want to drag the car, go ahead, you paid for it. But, don't break and then expect Honda to cover nor expect sympathy from people that know better i.e. most experienced owners.
This seems like a never-ending topic-- If warranty shoud cover it because of ads and such. Just to put things in a better light, remember the toyota corolla commercial awhile back?
where the car was sliding around the streets and freeway? And also hitting a few empty 5gal water bottles? Try going to a toyota dealer and tell them to warranty a busted front bumper and 4 flat spotted tires because of the commercial... Now before anyone gets all feelings and stuff, Just remember that every type of "race" car is well prepared/reinforced to take the "harder" driving style. And either way, THEY BREAK TOO... I do however, sympathize with your condition. It just sucks to have sweet car and crap breaks..... Maybe Honda will improve it next time...

I believe that has it tenblade2001, right there it says 6 seconds, thats how long it takes the s2000 to reach 60mph FROM A COMPLETE STANDSTILL.
I sure as hell would get it fixed under warranty, then see what you can do to make that thing a little bit stronger so it doesn't happen again.

Exactly what do you consider a "drag car" and why? Are you just recyling crap you read here? I'm really looking forward to your opinion on this. What makes a drag car in your opinion...

why is it you dont usually leave second gear on an auto-x course? yet, you usually get into 4th on a drag strip.
i guess you never seen a mustang/z28/vette or anything of the like(what people typically consider drag cars) blow a diff? honelty i seen more of them pop rears then S2000s at the track but thats obviously becasue 100:1 ration at the track as well...
but as i suspected, i got the generic "Not a dragster" awnser to my question.

After reading my last few post its clear that the tone has changed from an exhange of opinions to a bitch session....and I admit I'm partly to blame.
ViruX23, sorry for the flames. I'm sure your cool in person and I might meet you on a drive sometime ie. Dragon or FC, so I'll just bow out now and agree to disagree.
NMs2000, sorry to hear about the car and hope you get it back on the road soon.
