Default Castrol Edge

I just did an oil change with new castrol Edge fully synthetic 5w30. Before i was using regular Castrol fully synthetic. The difference i feel the most is driving my car from a cold start. It seems to shift smoother and rev better. I am happy with the purchase =)

Only bad thing is the 8.50 price tag, but money is not an option when it comes to my S.

I see no problem with this oil or any name brand oil. My only question is the choice of 5w/30 versus 10w/30 that Honda recommends. I think if I did use this weight, I'd revert back to the 10w/30 at a shorter interval then that recommended by Honda.

I cant help but ask, did you replace your tranny fluid as well? I dont see how engine oil would help it shift better

I'm running EDGE too. I love it. Though it has only been available in the US for a few months, it's been a best seller in Europe for quite some time now.

I gave Edge 10w30 a try this time around, only because I didn't see anything else I liked at the parts store.

I'll be getting an oil analysis done in a few thousand miles to see how it holds up.

I fail to understand too how it would shift better? maybe the engine revs down faster?

and why are you using 5/30?

I'll post up my results, definitely.

The shifting better is totally in the OP's head. No way it's true unless he did trans fluid at the same time.

waiting for it to come available in Canada. Are there any other cool tidbits or info on the product not on the website but on the packaging?
