I have an invidia with no cat. I replaced it with a magnaflow resonator.

The sound is great and it did lessen the droning.

However at every light you will smell the exhaust fumes.

As far as HP gaains I have no idea. My butt dyno broke months ago and I can't find any parts for it

I heard that if you take the cat. converter of the "check engine" sign remains on.
is this true?

Here's an unrelated picture of a JDM S2000. Good luck with the catalytic converter.

hp gains will be nominal, if there's any. I'd be surprised if there was any. i did that on the last car i had. and it did cause the check engine light to come on. resetting the ecu didn't help either.
