Default CEL After Test Pipe install

I just put a Megen Test pipe on MY01 and the CEL came on , which I expected . I disconnected the battery to reset and drove the car 27 miles and it popped on the first time I got on it hard(VTEC) . I re-reset the light by , again disconnecting the battery . No light for 28 miles even with driving to 9K . I start driving "Normally" and after driving for 4 miles with no VTEC engagement CEL popped back on . only other mods are Wheels , AEM V2 and stereo ! .... AEM , Rims and Stereo have been on car for 3 and a half years no issues .

you need a celfix. just got to your local autoparts store and get a pack of spark plug antifoulers and your prob is solved. it has nothing to do with your wheels or any of your other mods

agree with spark plug anti-fouler...you can get them at autozone and they should thread right in...i have a berk test pipe and i thought i was throwing a cel as a result of the testpipe (even though it has a cel fix built in which moves the o2 sensor out)...berk advised me to use a spark plug anti-fouler to move the o2 sensor even further out and if it still threw a cel after that, to stuff the cel fix (in your case an anti-fouler threaded in) with some steel wool...however i have a lesson that goes along with this story

i went to autozone to get the code scanned and to my surprise it wasn't related to the testpipe...it was a hose that had come loose on the intake selonoid....so that goes to show you...no matter how sure you are...go get it scanned...it takes less than a minute and if it is indeed your testpipe you'll already be at the store to buy the necessary hardware to fix it

good luck

yeah it's good to know the exact code, just in case, most likely it's 90% likely to be related to your testpipe but who knows what else could have coincidentally gone wrong about the same time...

there was a post i looked up when i had the same exact problem you can do like they say or if you want to keep a sensor there you can buy a $10 attachment add a lil steel wool (or like me the filter from your kictchen sink faucet lol) and your good to go or you can drive around with your CEL light on wont hurt but then wen you have a legit warning you wont know

sorry cant remember where i got the attachment but its somewhere on this forum
