Default cel light

hey everyone i recently installed a aftermarket header and a test pipe that claimed to have a cel fix on it. I got a cel light and assumed it was for either the header o2 sensor or the test pipe sensor. I cleared it once and it came back. I went to auto zone and apparently there was a law passed and now they cant tell you what the code is anymore. I was wondering where, if anyone knows, I can go to get the code so I know what exaclty is tripping my cel light.

Thanks

Where is this? I was at an autozone yesterday to help my friend with his check engine light and they scanned it without a problem?

Idk what the hell they are talking about, but I bought my own little code reader. It comes in handy a lot and I just store it it in my secret compartment. That way as soon as I get a CEL I can immediately pull it, and then look up the code on here. I can also erase the CEL with it. Not bad for $50.

Also some people still get CEL's even with a test pipe with the fix on it. Just go get some anti foulers and that should do the trick.

the problem is when people go to autozone to get the codes, they also want to get it CLEARED. thats where it is against the law. so thats probably why they decided to stop offering the service.
